Lake Pend Oreille Idaho Club Scholarship
Application for High School Seniors

Greetings LPOIC members and importantly, mothers, fathers and grandparents.

 

Through donations to the Scholarship Fund we are able to offer the scholarship to LPOIC
members’ families both inside and outside of Bonner County, which includes high school seniors in
the Lake Pend Oreille, Lakeland, and Coeur d’Alene School Districts and beyond.

We are looking for ways to improve our lake, our fishery, our club and our community. Since
1947, anglers in the Lake Pend Oreille area have been big supporters of the LPOIC and its
activities. We value giving back to our community and to the families who help to make our area a
great place to live, work and play. Since 2018 the LPOIC has awarded over 25 scholarships of $500 to $1,200 to graduating seniors. With expanded funding, the LPOIC could offer higher dollar amounts
to additional high school seniors.

If you have a son, daughter, or grandchild interested in advancing their education in one of the
following selection criteria areas, please find the scholarship application document above or by contacting either Nancy Spence spence@olympus.net  or Christine

Selection criteria:  Any high school senior that plans to pursue post-secondary education involving
wildlife, fisheries, outdoor recreation, ecology, environmental science, biology or science teaching.

Applications must be received April 10, 2026

 

If you are interested in making a donation to help us meet our goals for scholarships, please feel
free to speak to any board member, or you can send your generous donation to Lake Pend Oreille
Idaho Club, P.O. Box 1589, Sandpoint, Idaho 83864.
